What are planning conditions and why are they important?
In order to benefit from your planning permission you must comply with certain requirements that are set out on the Decision Notice. The conditions are safeguards to ensure that the development is carried out as anticipated. Conditions vary by type and the manner in which they seek to control the development. The conditions will vary depending upon the proposal in issue and the type of planning permission. The conditions may require information to be provided at certain points or within certain timescales after the grant of planning permission.
Local Planning Authorities have a range of enforcement procedures open to them. If you receive notification of enforcement activity, do not ignore it. Timescales within which you must respond / comply will be identified in correspondence directed to you.
